  General information

project name Victor Valley College
description

A 1MW solar plant was installed on the campus of Victor Valley College in Victorville, California. At the time of installation in May 2010, this project was the largest CPV project installed in the western hemisphere. The project is owned by the college and provides a majority of the daytime power required for the College. The technology installed is SolFocus CPV SF-1100S systems. SolFocus CPV systems were selected through a 5-month competitive bid process; CPV was selected over crystalline PV or thin film based on its ability to generate the lowest LCOE.
