  General information

project name Arizona Western College
description

The Arizona Western College project, Yuma, Arizona, is a 5MW solar power plant providing power to the College, and is connected to the Arizona Public Service (APS) grid. The plant consists of 5 different PV technologies including monocrystalline, polycrystalline, thin film and CPV (2 manufacturers, one reflective and one refractive technology). This solar plant was installed as a commercial site which has a PPA agreement with the College, but is also a test site where different PV technologies can be compared against each other. The SolFocus SF-1100S CPV systems, which are a reflective CPV technology, are installed at the solar plant.
